Generally Cipro is a very powerful antibiotic, but the major problem as I understand it with EP is that most of the affected structures aren't very permeable to the body's own immune system, nor to oral antibiotics. even IV antibiotics have trouble reaching the epididymis at anywhere near the level they do in other tissues AFAIK.

The key is to find antibiotics that are not just powerful in general, but are also known for high penetration rates into tissues like the epi.
