Mini1Me,
For some reason the message board won't let me reply to your post directly. You said:
I was diagnosed with epididymitis in March 2003.My doctor gave me a 10 day supply of Cipro. The swelling went down and the pain went away. However 2 months later the pain started to come back somewhat so i went to a urologist. He prescribed me levaquin and some anti-inflammatory drugs. The pain has gone away and I rarely have any pain.Still a little swelling though. I told him I was starting to have blood in my sperm, and he said it was normal as the sperm usually takes about 90 days to mature and it would work its way out. Well it has now been 7 months and I still have blood in my sperm. It is really red. Is this still normal? Would really like to get rid of this. I have no pain at all hardly, just a little uncomfotable feeling now and then, and a slight bump or swelling on my left testicle. Please answer as this really is bothering me. Thank You.
I think that blood in the semen is never normal, and that it may indicate prostatitis, seminal vesiculitis, or epididymitis. It may also indicate a broken vein or artery somewhere inside your GU tract. When the doctor said it was normal, he may have actually been saying that it often goes away on its own. But blood as been associated with tumors, cysts, and other important things that should be ruled out.
