Our son suffers from very severe left testicular pain requiring 5 hydracodone (opiates), 4 methadone and 3 zanex daily to bear the pain.

Has also a bad case of Chrononic Fatigue Syndrome as overlay which further complicates his situation.

Has gradually gotten worse over past 8 years to a point where he's now confined to a chair in a dark room all day and night. A trip to the bathroom leaves him totally exhausted.

Have been to many urologists, had ultrasounds, scans...which turned up nothing. Pain specialists whip out their prescription pads and prescribe opiates...nothing else.

Son was a bright, well educated young man with his own radio show in college before this illness set in. All this seemed to start with a prostate infection about 8 years ago for which he received intraveneous antibiotics in a hospital. This seemed to help initially but the pain has gotten worse and worse until we are all now at our rope's end. He is so weak now he's almost unable even to make it to his doctor's office for a monthly check of his prescriptions.

Sending this as a desparate plea for any information or advice that might help determine the cause of this pain. The urologists we've seen all roll their eyes back in their head and say "go see a pain specialist". Surely there's someone out there that might offer a solution.

Sincerely...

Son's Dad and Mom
