Hi CTWhy I have had surgury to remove the epididymis a couple of years ago. It takes along time for the pain and swelling to go down at least three to four months for it to be completely gone. Unfortunaely my pain returned and I have been dealing with this for four years. But don't get discouraged it does work for about 65% of the time. You will just have to wait and see if that is the case with you. I have found that urologists don't want to deal with people who are in pain and that family doctors are a better way to go for pain relief. I hope that everything turns out fine for you.
