Hello there, I'm a 71 year old male and have had a pain in my right testicle for over a year. My doctor said it was a virus and put me on antibiotics and had ultra sound and x-ray taken. After three months and no change he sent me to a urologist who said it wasn't a virus but an inflamation in the pelvic area and the pain was being transferred to the testicle. He put me on antiinflamatories for a month and said his next step would be a cortizone injection in the pelvic area. His medicine didn't work and I refused the cortizone and got an appointment with a specialist at a university hospital 60 miles away. He examined me and said he had no idea what was causing the pain and could only reccomend I keep on taking pain pills my doctor had been prescribing all along. Three weeks ago I went to see a new urologist in town and he said I had the big E. He has prescibed boxycycline for a month which ends next week. so far no change. Is there anything I should be asking him next week. Appreciate any ideas.
