The condition is not easily resolved in many cases. It would wise to be certain that an infection is not being passed back and forth, and I don't mean just common STDs like Chlamydia, althought I would test for that first. The problem is that few people test both partners adequately in situations like this. I wonder what general area you live and if you have a good doctor for your situation. Other things also need to be looked at that have nothing to do with infection.
