I am on my second time with the infection. The first time I had it it lasted for months. I saw many docs and had many tests, blood,urine, catscan, ultrasound, MRI, and saw many docs in different fields to rule everything else out. It can be a long process, but necessary. I still have no answers, but have been trying to accept that I may have to just deal with it. The pain is the worst part, but your doctor should give you painkillers to take the edge off. Hydrocodone works pretty well for me. Hang in there. Keep going to doctors. Ask them questions, don't let them just toss you out after a 5 minute exam. You are not alone!
