Two weeks ago tomorrow I had some pretty 'uncomfortable pain in my left testicle. I had worked out particularly hard as I'm a rower and I thought it was a result of me just doing a bit much. The next day it had gone and I even did a hard session at the gym that day.
It started to return by Sunday and by Monday it was uncomfortable enough to seek medical advice.
I had to wait until the Friday for an appointment but saw the doctor and he said he suspects its Epi although my symptoms didn't present as normal. No swelling, burning, discomfort urinating or anything else and he could examine my tesicles with no pain. The Epidymis is a little swollen but not tender.
So I got to rest, no sport and a weeks worth of Doxycycline.
Now a week later with no effect from the antibiotics, I have been back and the Doc. says he doesn't know. My testicles still ache occasionally and the discomfort has spread to my groin area. As described by another it feels like 'toothache'in my groin and scrotal area. Once again he examined me and there was no pain. the pain is not all day just in fits and starts but I suppose that could be the ibuprofen.
His best guess was perhaps a hernia? The only thing he offered was 7 days worth of Levaquin and a CAT scan of my groin area to rule out any cysts, lumps hernias etc and of course the inevitable "Come back if nothing has improved.."

Reading the posts have almost reduced me to tears when I look at what you have all written. I'm not sure I want to take the Levaquin now as most of you say it's a waste of time and the side effects are as long as your arm.
I'll be 40 in three weeks and had a vasectomy 7 years ago.

Help..!!!?????
