Some of us have reported pain when all the scans and tests come back negative. Why? Two theories:
One: When epididymis gets inflamed and swells it puts pressure on millions of nerves and microscopic veins that are down there. Because pressure alone is the cause of pain, tests and scans don't and can't show anything. So, we wonder and grind our teeth, wondering what the heck is wrong with us when everything comes back negative. Two: The weight of testicles remains more or less the same throughout adulthood. Because of this, the supporting structures in the testicle are not used to different weights; unlike the supporting structures in our arms, legs, torso, etc. So, when epididymis swells (gets larger) or in my case, when spermatocele (sperm filled sack) happens, all of a sudden, the supporting structures around testicles find themselves under new and additional weight. It is more like if we never had any condition down there but went out and hung additional weight from our testicles. It would hurt. Or if you run you never feel any pain in your wrist but if you hold weights in your hands while you run your wrists begin to ache, because the supporting structures in the wrist just aren't used to the additional weight. So when we feel the pain down there but all the tests come back negative we again wonder what is wrong with us. |
