I've been reading a few things here and there about the possible connection between ep/varicocels and the liver.Apparently herbalist tend to identify a definite connection. It is thought provoking however.Long before I was diagnosed with Ep and the varicocel I had swelling on the right side of my abdomen and pain going up to the bottom of my right rib cage. We're talking very obvious bulging.Gradually the pain started moving down towards the right groin/thigh area until finally everything hurt from my rib cage down to my right testicle.I had blood tests and an abdominal ultra sound which resultated in nothing unusual.Apparently my liver is functioning properly. However I've noticed(for a few years now)that when I drink alcohol(hardly ever now)in excees I'm really seriously hurting. It seems I would get devestating hangovers lasting all day from just a few beers the night before. My testicle would always ache like crazy too. I've been slowly trying to change my diet.I bought a juicer and plan on drinking fresh vegetable juice as this is suppose to clean the blood and repair blood vessels, strenghten immune system and all that good stuff. So,I'm wondering if anyone has had similar symptoms or if anyone has actually had liver problems dianosed. Do any of you guys have signifigant swelling or bulging on their right side, like as if the right side of your belly literally bulges more than the left? How about pain up to the ribcage?Sometimes it feels like there's a foreign object lodged in my abdomen. Just wondering if there's a connection with the liver.Any comments or feedback could be interesting. Maybe we haven't heard much about a connection since Urologists are not likely to look at the whole picture. My instincts tell me that my problems are far from being isolated to my genitalia.I can literally feel that it's something beyond that,my body is telling me so.Question is,how does one find a Urologist who has the know-how or willingness to look much deeper?Simply throwing antibiotics at the problem isn't even scratching the surface.I'm very curious what others may think about this topic.Thanks. |
