I was diagnosed with chronic prostatitis over ten years ago; however, my condition suddenly took a different twist circa 9 months ago, with the arrival of an infection in my epididymis. Currently, my internist thinks that the latter is a consequent action of the former, and ultimately feels that once the prostatic infection is eradicated, then the same will occur in the epididymis. Therefore, could epididymitis be caused by a prostate infection, since they are both part of the genito-urinary system? Share your thoughts.
