Great post! I too have come to the conclusion that I am having recurring pain due to a previous acute infection. It is my suspicion that the area along the epididymis becomes inflamed causing damaged nerves to flare up and cause pain. Most of the pain I experience is in my lower abdominal area, but when severe, it goes from my left testicle, around my groin, thighs, and abdomen, sometimes up to my left kidney. I've been checked out for everything under the sun to the point that I'm suprised I don't glow in the dark. My entire body has been scanned and appears normal. We are stuck with life-long/altering pain. Sadly, there is no cure for pain. I go the my doctor when it's bad to make sure no infection has returned. I take antibiotics and too many pain killers. This is my life and many other people's lives too. All we can do is hang in there and keep sharing our experiences, troubles, and ideas here. Good luck!
