Hi. This is my first post on the board...though I've been checking in for approx. 6 months now. As for my personal history...I first noticed the discomfort of epididymitis shortly after some heavy lifting required for a move. Not too long after I went to a urologist, and he diagnosed me immediately and I took antibiotics (--cipro i think) for 10 days. The inflammation went away and I was clear of all symptoms for a year.

However, the symptoms returned and I was rediagnosed with the lovely ;) chronic version of the disorder. Well, after 3 or 4 attempts to remedy the situation with anitbiotics, I've finally given up on them. In fact. I just finished my last round...I took Levaquin and Doxycycline together for 6 weeks to no avail. I was given new hope with this last round after listening to an archive of the Dr. Mirkin Show, in which he addressed the problem and stated that antibiotics must be taken for 6 weeks minimum. I had never been on them for longer than 2 weeks. He also said that you may have to take them for 2-3 months. During the 6 weeks I noticed no improvements, or changes of any kind for that matter.

Anyway, I suppose I should be thankful my condition is not that bad compared to some of the stories I've read here. That is, I don't feel pain really...just a slight heaviness. By far the worst part is its effect on sexual performance/stamina. My member is like a tire being shot after an orgasm and it requires more 'imagination' to keep it fully erect.

Enough of the self-indulgence and my humble case though. I just wanted to let others know of my experience thusfar and comment on a few natural rememedies. So far the Fenugreek/Fennel has had absolutely no effect whatsoever. Not that it's unpleasant to take these herbs...just no noticeable difference after 3 weeks. The potential good news is that 4 days ago, I started taking the Staphysagria (which I read about here) along with Cantharsis. Today I noticed a stinging sensation in the area....and after investigating, I discovered that the inflammation has subsided significantly. I have also taken some Uva Ursi and Kava Kava...not sure if they are having an impact as well. Anyway, there is still more pain than usual...but I remain hopeful this is a positive sign. Has anybody else had a similar experience or tried staphysagria? If this doesn't pan out I will head to a Chinese doctor. Luckily they're all over the city in which I reside.
