Epididymitis is confusing. The diagnosis and treatment is not well organized. Not doing cultures is a very serious oversight, especially when they might be positive and might play a central role in curing the disease before it becomes recurrent or chronic. Infections can come back after antibiotics if the bugs are not completely eradicated.
