I have been diagnosed with epidiymitus of the R/testicle. It was an acute onset on the 15th of Sept. I had a vasectomy six weeks ago. The Dr. doesn't think it is related. He put me on Cipro-500mg and Lortab. The pain was horrible. They gave me Stadol in the office. Four days later, my testicles are still swollen at the same size as on day one and there is still moderate pain and tenderness. Nothing worthy of the Lortab (I took about five of them total). My concearn is tis; I have to return to work tomorrow. I work at a metro Fire Dept. I am Rescue, which means I will be exerting myself several times tomorrow. My fellow firefighters will be expecting me to be able to perform on the scene, to include the fireground. I still have swelling and pain, will I exacerbate the situation by returning to work? Will I do any further damage?
