Hi Brad sorry for the late reply; I have been away. I am going again tomorrow for my second set of shots. The injection sites were in my lower back, just above the pubic area and in the testicles themselves. The needle doesn't hurt so much as the really uncomfortable feeling of the stuff going in. The Doc used Depo-Medrol and Sensorcaine. I will (if he is not too busy) ask what nerve specifically that he is blocking. Thanks to all of you for your wellwishes. I can't begin to tell you how well I felt when the pain went away. Unfortunately, the pain does come back. The Doc asked me during my first injection if I had any questions but all I could think about was getting it over with. Now I have a million questions. Apparently there is only a 50% chance that the pain will go away permently. But believe me when I say that the thought of having another injection in my nuts does not fill me with joy, but I will take it over the constant pain and pills. I am also going to ask if this makes me a good candidate for the denervation. I will keep all of you updated.
