I'm in agreement with your advice. I feel this is some kind of infection, but being on cipro for two weeks, off for two weeks with the symptoms returing, and then back on cipro for another six weeks has done nothing - symptoms persist, although slightly milder. I've just finished the last cipro dosage on Sat. Yesterday, my back almost gave out and find it incredibly sore (lower right side) and almost feel a connection from my back to my right sore testicle. I've just received a referal to a urologist. I'm also getting an ultra sound for my kidneys in case it's a stone. I'll provide the results once I get them.
