I am 43, and have had mild symptoms of epididymitis since early May. I started on sulfameth toward the end of May, and it went away for several weeks. I had a second round of sulfameth, during which the symptoms disappeared, then came back. I started on Cipro a week ago and the pain went from mild to severe. I am now taking Tramadol for pain. It makes me too drowsy during the day to work. I am STD free and have no history of epididymitis. I am very worried that I am not getting better. Is there another antibiotic or pain-reliever I should be on. I am concerned this may be a chronic condition.
