I had to do a lot of research on this. This is my finding:

1) While sitting, the tender gland and the related structures are pressed. This causes the pain, and this was the MAIN cause for me to notice aggravation of pain in the office. You may not feel that much while walking becase the pressure is not that much.

2) Certain irritants may be aggravating it too. Typically a day after having alcohol ( as little as a beer) the pain is aggravated.

3) A psychological component to it. At the office you need a lot of concentration and energy and you want to be feel beeter without any botheration. With EP, you are bothered and disturbed, bringing it constantly to your mind.

So the feeling that you improved during a two week vacation has manly to do with the free dressing , minimal pressure on the area. I would think.
