Hello! I have been gone to LA to a class for a week. Wow, looks like you guys have been active! My 2nd opinion surgeon was the one who said he had nnever had a patient but had heard this happens. He tried his best to "fix" me conventional medicine ways. Didn't work. He then tried some nerve blocks, etc. that did help, but not solve completely. I then saw an urologist who just moved to California. He had worked for years at Mayo Clinic. He told me, quote... "I dreaded to see patients at Mayo with this EP/Groin area stuff." There basically is not anything we can do except tell you that time (year or more) will help. He also said antibiotics do not seem to help after several weeks and to be terribly careful if using longer than that. He felt that the antibiotics were giving a false feeling of getting better. I had noticed as long as i was on then, I felt ok, but after the course was complete, I was worse than before. He said he had seen this before and agreed with me. He feels that some day they will discover that antibiotics are working as a nerve stimulant or something way different from killing bacteria. (Like asprin is good to prevent heart attacks. Asprin were made for head aches, not preventing cardio problems.) I have had great success with the herbs/vitamins/enzymes and the foot patches. The urologist told me he knows nothing about this but said I should continue as it appears to be working very well. He said he cannot reccommend it since he is unfamiliar with it (makes sense) but also was not against it. By the same token, he said he used to be against accupressure but has seen many proven results for some illinesses so believes some of these difficult diseases may wind up with new treatment methods. I have had an abcessed tooth and the dentist put me on an antibiotic to try to clear up the infection. Strangely enough, my testicle swelled at the same time. And I slightly had the "flu" like symptoms again. There is some correlation between the testicle and the infection and/or antibiotic. When I used up the antibiotics, the testicle went back down. I personally feel like John and others who feel it takes a long time. I used the detox patches like the instructions say and after about 6 weeks, they no longer react and over all I feel ok. I cannot say I am 100% but would guess upper 90s. It almost is to the point where I can't decide if it is EP problems or being 50 problems!! I have spent quite a bit of $$ on this alternate stuff but I certainly feel it helps. It also really helps to talk to these doctors who have knowledge. I would highly advise at least trying to speak with a knowledgeable doc. This doc in New York sounds great, I have one here in Calif that seems great. There has to be belief you are doing the right thing or depression can set in. Then you have more than one thing to cure. I just was at a class at Anaheim Calif. Everyday I walked great distances to and from class. Since the class was at Disneyland Hotel Conference Center, we got cheap passes to Disney. I went in several times and rode some terrifying rides that jarred your testicles really badly. I had no classes on Friday and spent the whole day in Disneys California Adventure. I rode rides, walked "miles", went on a ride that shoots up straight up 180 feet in 2 seconds and "bounces" on the way back down. Other than feeling dragy this morning, I am fine. BUT, no, I do not step off curbs with a thud. I watch what kind of underwear I wear. I do not sit for longer than about 45 min without walking. I do not ride my bicycle anymore except short distances. When I start to feel tired, I rest. Instead of pushing myself to the limits, I just do things at a steady pace. I feel it has been a combination of everything that has helped. Sorry to ramble on but I feel this is a topic where we cannot think taking a pill with cure it all and everything will be ok. |
