I was also sent to a surgeon, but no hernia was found. I was thrown around to different docs in different fields and was given a clean bill of health from all of them. I'm just starting my second round with the infection. I believe that my case is also not severe, just recurring. Having epididymitus can, I believe, make you sterile if the infection is not treated. I have not found anything special outside of antibiotics & pain meds to fight it off. My wife & I were both tested for different things and all came back negative. I still don't know what caused my infection in the first place, so I unfortunately have found no pattern. I don't have a lot of answers I guess, but you know you are not alone!
