I had some of these same "symptoms" after hernia surgery. That was when my epidid started.

I had the blue ball feeling. Epidid is larger than the other. Put on Cipro and Doxy for 6 1/2 weeks. Didn't help at all. Got worse if anything. Has been 16 months and any bump will cause excruiating pain. Pain radiates down my leg. Often feels asleep. Tkaes days for pain to go away. Horrible pain when balss are exaimned. Feel nauseated for several days. I will not let a doc feel my epidid any more... too much pain. My scrotal area was about 3 1/2 times normal on the one side.

My 3nd opinion docs will not operate on me. Say success rate is not good enough. The urologist and surgeon both are happy with the fenugreek/ bromelain/ chinese meds I use. it has been nearly 6 months since I started the Chinese stuff but I am gradually getting better. I have added several types of chinese/japanese meds and if i watch the things I do and the clothes I wear, I can usually be 99% OK now.

I cannot drive farther than about 10 miles or i will swell up and hurt for days. (Can be controlled somewith the chinese meds.) I wear pouch type underwear. I wear loose pants. No jumping off steps, not even stepping off a curb with a "thud".

Hang in there. Except for the driving, I can basically live a normal life again. I'd rather be this way than take a surgery risk and be in pain for the rest of my life.

I really was reluctant to use the chinese meds because some were yucky on my skin and some were gross tasting pills. But along with the herbs and bromelain. I consider myself a survivor!
