Hey buddy, i was wondering where you've been! Actually when I don't see people it makes me hopeful that they are completely better. Im sorry that it has come back a little. My pain has been up there and I haven't been posting much myself. As helpful as this board is, sometimes it can be depressing when you see so many negative aspects of our condition(s).

About your tests, they are horrible and very invasive. If he truly does believe that you do have IC without these tests, go on elmiron 100mg three times daily or so. It takes about 2 months, but it is eventually supposed to lead to a protection of the bladder. The package insert says it only worked in 29% of patients, but hell it's worth a shot with the length of time you've been suffering. I personally stopped it after 1 week because I had almost no urinary symptoms. For you, it may work. If it doesn't you may want to go through with the tests, so that you can get the DMSO if you are diagnosed with it based on those tests.

I actually saw Dr. Seaman as my 3rd urologist in morristown. He also has an office in west orange I believe. Funny thing as soon as I met him he goes "No, i didn't change my name to fit the profession" lol. He simply wrote me an rx for the culture, which I then handed in to quest diagnostics. I noticed my semen was slightly yellow, so that's why I had asked for it. I can say he is generally very helpful and willing to listen, but he was very doubtful about my semen showing anything. He's still on vacation so I can't talk to him about this until next week. I can only use the amoxicillin and hope for the best. I was ready to call kaufman today, but since my semen showed this i figured I will work with the Dr's Im seeing now, and if that doesn't work Ill head over to the city. I would love to see toth but he doesnt accept my insurance. I hope your pain for the most part stays in check, let me know how everything goes.
