Hi iam new on here and would like to ask some advice. i believe i have had epididymitis for almost 4 months. (great summer ive had) it started off with me getting a sharp pain in my stomach late at late coming home on a night bus while kinda drunk. i was in agony on the bus, thought i was having a hernia. but when i got home and out of the jeans i was wearing i felt a lot better. slept fine and then the next day as it wore on i started getting a pain in my left testicle. this was saturday evening, i went and saw my doctor monday morning and he said it was nothing, maybe i was wearing underwear that was too tight and said i should take it easy for a couple days and maybe wear y fronts (serious, thats what he said) well the pain started to get worse and about a week later i went to a hospital and was diagnosed with epididymitis. was given antibiotics which did help a bit, but the problem was still there when finished them. have since taken another 4 courses of antibiotics and 3 courses of anti inflamatory drugs. have seen a urologist and he was unsure if i ever even had epididymitis. i wouldnt say its a pain i have in my testicle more a discomfort. the ultrasounds i had showed no lump or twist, but the doctor said there could be a little bit of swelling, like she wasnt sure if there even was but gave me antibiotics anyway to get rid of me.
the discomfort seems to be easing by the week and i havent been taking any medication for about a month now, but its still not normal with a slight discomfort going from my stomach round to my hip when i walk. does this sound like chronic epididymitis to you?? any info would be much appreciated!! thanks!!
