has he seen a urologist yet, it sounds like that is his next step. most of them can not do the sound check and send you someplace to have it done ,so try and find one that does, dont worry all the docs get huffy and puffy as they do not like to say they cant help you in any way, i still say the e.r. is the fast way to find out. good luck brad
