There are 4 types of varicocels: Grade 1,2,3 and the subclinical variety.

Varicoceles that are 3mm wide or more are said to cause pain but results are unclear as to the efficacy of varicolectomy.

I have been diagnosed with a 3mm subclinical varicocele which my uro wants to take out.

I'm going for another opinion before I consider having the surgery but I'm 80% thinking of canceling the procedure and only 20% thinking of going through with it.

Things lately have gotten much worse in my case.
I started this nightmare in Nov 05' with pain localized in my scrotum or better said in my spermatic cords and epididium but in May 05' I started to get pain in my flank on both sides and periods of dizziness.

I'm worried that whatever this is has become much worse.
Blood, urine, semen, all show no sign of infection. Sonogram in the kidney shows no abnormalities.
Could it be anxiety doing this to me?

I'm turning 36 in 2 months.
I really would like to be a grandfather and in good health one day...
