Well I have to say that I did wait. I went to other cities to be asked the same questions over and over again. They did not give the same answer. To my amazement, the doctors gave different answers for the same situation. Everything from accupncture to hypnotism. Hmm. I stepped back a little more and started asking the really tough questions like, with the advice you have given me, how many other patients have benefitted from your suggestions?" Ironically, I was a small to none answer. I asked why then would you suggest a treatment that has such a low success rate. The answer? Because this is a hit and miss situation there is no known cure. "THERE IS NO KNOWN CURE", I asked. They said right now it is still unclear what causes this condition and unclear how to cure it. An Epididymectomy was the best bet. I asked about the denervation and was told that it was the same chances as the Epididymectomy. So after having opted for an Epididymectomy, since I knew I would be numb there for life choosing the other,I figured I was at least in a higher percentile of success. The doctor assured me that this was the right way to go. Three months post op, and I was in more pain than when I started. Finally, I was given the option for total removal. Bilateral Orchiectomy. This was my very last chance at being better. I knew that if this didn't work then my whole life would be turned upside down. It worked. Two months post op and I have no more pain, none. My sex life couldn't be better. And the Mrs. is more than overcome by the twinkle in my eye. Now I know this is not for everyone but, it worked for me.
