Don't want to disillusion anyone, but Cipro just simply doesn't work for this problem. I should know, iv'e virtually eaten it by the bucketful! It's a misconception, in my opinion, if a short course doesn't solve the problem, you need an even longer course.
I once asked my doctor, "Why is it when you have a sore throat and take an antibiotic it is cleared within a week"? He drew the analogy of a plate and a sponge. A plate is easy cleaned because the 'germs' can only affect the surface, in a sponge it is absorbed, hence much more difficult.
