Because I've yet to have any problems that appear directly to affect the prostate....
Also, I have more than enough possible causes racked up that have nothing to do with cycling. In fact, I have only come down with EP when I am sedentary! From what I've seen, most EP cases begin with what seems like a "survivable" blow to the groin (i accidentally struck my balls on the corner of a table only a week or two before I started this year-long EP bout last year), followed by conditions which stressed the body and helped complicate what should have been a simple groin bruise or minor injury, into this chronic condition.... I'll bet there are cyclists out there who HAVE caused EP or other problems for themselves directly relating to their cycling, but I'm willing to bet there are major complicating factors even in those cases -- and with some adjustments to their bikes and their riding styles, they should be able to continue cycling for the rest of their lives without it being a problem....
