Hi all- I am a 34 year old in my second year of Chinese Medical School here in the United States. I have been suffering with chronic epididymitis for over 2 years now. Mine started with a muscle pull to my right testicle. I had a specialist tell me it was epididymitis and that there wasn't much they could do for it. So after years and years of pain, I finally decided to ask my Eastern doctor (who is also the head of the school I'm in) about it. He said it was a bacterial infection. I never even thought about this. It would hurt mostly right after sex and I attributed that to the muscle being pulled physically...never realized that the entire groin area gets weakened energetically after sex, thus allowing any bacteria to flourish. Go without sex for a while...body get's stronger again...fights off bacteria. This is all my opinion though...my doctor just said it ws infected. Anyway, he put me on a 12 herb formula and I took it for 5 days and I swear it was all better on the last day of taking this. It consists of innocuous herbs and plants that would not hurt you to try. Would probably have to be nearish an herb store or chinese doctor's office to get these herbs though. I suggest you either use the raw forms or do what I did and get the new small extract packets (chinese doc will have probably). The latter are easier, as you just boil water, pour it into a tall glass, drop the herbs in and take half (one cup) then save the rest for later in the day. Take these herbs 2x/day for 5 days. One packet is 2 servings essentially. So you will need 5 packets of each herb. Alternatively and more commonly found are the raw forms of the herbs...you just put them in 4-5 cups boiling water and cook down to a cup or so for 45 mins, then pour liquid only into a mug. Then add 3 cups later in the day and cook down to one cup again and take. No matter what this stuff tastes absolutely horrible, but it is more than worth it to know you could be cured for good in 5 days. Here is the list of Chinese herbs to get: (the amount listed in grams is what was listed on the packets as how much the contents of each packet were extracted from...if using raw...have the person giving it to you suggest a dose) --- Qing Pi - Green Tangerine Peel - 6g Chai Hu - Chinese Thorowax Root - 6g Huang Bai - Amur Cork Tree - 6g Zhi Mu - Common Anemarrhenae Rhizome - 10g Long Dan Cao - Chinese Gentian - 6 g Pu Gong Ying - Dandelion - 15g Xiao Hui Xiang - Fennel - 6g Yan Hu Suo - Rhizoma Corydalis - 10g Ju He - Semen Citri Reticulatae - 10g Wu Yao - Combined Spicebush Root - 10g Li Zhi He - Lychee Seed - 10g Zi Hua Di Ding - Tokyo Violet Herb - 15g --- The first column are the english forms of the chinese names (called Pin Yin)...ask for the herbs by these names...show them written out to the person you are buying them from. Oh yeah...I saw the fennel/fenugreek combo here on this forum and tried it with no result. It could work for you however, so might be worth trying. Not a competition...just want everyone out there with chronic eipidymitis to beat it for good. This formula has done just that for me with very little cost and time involved. Just have to suck it up and drink the horrible tasting concoction. I hope you will try. I find if you let it cool to lukewarm and chase each large gulp with some cold water it really helps. Good luck with this. I promise this combination of herbs will not hurt you. No time to explain, but in my classes we have gone over each herb and none of these have any major contraindications or side effects. The above formula works to safely kill any bad bacteria lurking in the lower area of the torso (the chinese call this the lower jiao, or burner)...it also clears damp heat from that area too. I would sometimes get dry, purplish colored flaky itchy skin on the skin of my testicles. It's all related. Anyway, Good luck and good health!!!! -Mike |
