Hi, About 5 months ago I came down with acute epididymitis. At first, I tried to ignore it but the discomfort became horrible after about 5 days. My doctor gave me 10 days of Levaquin, that seemed to help alot by about the 7th day. (I had already been educating myself online and knew not to believe the claims of being totally well in a week) I've spent alot of time out of work (back to relying on parents) and have been getting pretty frustrated. I don't know what others experience in respect to discomfort.... but I don't have much pain anymore just discomfort and tenderness. The muscles or tendons in my pelvic area, particularily inner left thigh send me a little pain; they feel tired. I just turned 24 and am (or was) very phisically fit (I'm a general contractor) and have found that I actually feel better after some light work... nothing that jiggles things around very much. Besides, I can't move all that fast. Relief can be had by spending time in my recliner but if I don't spend enough time on my feet, I wind up being more swollen and sore. I took some advice that was probably really bad; drink a few beers a day..... I was bored and that sounded like a good deal... now I've taken to mixing cranberry juice into my tea. So far, it seems a pleasant way to feel a little better. The other little details you're proabably all familiar with (such as a little leakage immediately after urination) so I'll forgo those. If anyone is somehow exhorted by my testimony, that is just great but if anyone has insights, really fine by me! Thanks, Aaron |
