Thanks for your vote of confidence! I'd like to think the last seven years I spent working in a health food store weren't a total waste of time...!

The multi-vitamin I use is Solgar's Multi II capsule formula. It's a high potency formula that has 50 mg of each of the B vitamins in each capsule. The recommended dose is two a day, but since it's so strong, some people can get away with just taking one a day. (In comparison, most of the over the counter multi's sold in drug stores and chain stores only have 1 or 2 mg of the B's; that's 100% of the RDA, which sounds like a lot, but that's only enough to prevent a deficiency disease...)

My multi also covers all the other vitamins and minerals as well. The only drawback is that it's low in calcium and magnesium, but that's not unusual for a multi. The macro minerals are very large molecules, so it's hard to squeeze very much of them in along with everything else, especially in a capsule formula which can't be compressed like tablets are.

BTW, I personally switched over to taking everything in capsule form whenever possible several years ago when I realized that the tablets I was taking were passing all the way through me completely undigested, even though they were good quality formulas sold only in health food stores. I think in *my* case that was due to my digestive problems caused by the candida yeast overgrowth which resulted from taking so many antibiotics all my life (especially for things like epididymitis...)

In any case, my multi is only one small part of my overall health regimen. I also take extra amounts of the antioxidant vitamins like A, C & E, and Cal-Mag, as well as various herbs and other food supplements. (Although I've had to cut back a lot since I'm unemployed now thanks to the EP and don't have easy access anymore since my boss fired me for being sick with this...) :-(

I also stick to a healthy diet too, mostly due to multiple food allergies which also resulted from the damage done to my immune system by the yeast overgrowth. I also try to get as much exercise as possible, but that's been totally impossible lately while sitting still waiting for this latest round of EP to go away...

I also try to avoid stress since that always plays such a major role in any health-related problem. It hardly seems coincidental to me that this latest round of EP flared up again just a few months after my mother died so suddenly and unexpectedly and that changed my life far more than I ever thought it possibly could...

In any case, thanks again for your confidence. Until the EP hit again, I was spending all day every day advising people on food supplements and dietary choices. That's why it's been so hard for me to be stuck back in bed again so sick myself. If anyone ever has any other health food store type questions, please let me know. Hopefully my brain is still working, even if things between my legs aren't...!
