There's a theory out there called "cellular memory" which claims that every cell in your body can somehow chemically "remember" everything that's happened to them. I'm not sure if I believe that or not, but I try to keep an open mind, so I suppose there's a possibility. The problem with that though would be how *long-term* that memory might be... Since the cells in your body are constantly dying and being replaced, I've heard it said that every seven years, you're a "totally new person"... If that's true, then how would my cells remember when I had EP before -- nineteen years ago?! Anyway, I think it's a lot more likely that once the damage occurs, that certain part of the body is weakened and more susceptible to further problems for the rest of your life. I don't like to dwell on that though because it doesn't give you much hope for the future. Fact is, no one really knows for sure either way... |
