Well, it's actually going on three and a half weeks now. I thought it was going away over the last few days, but now the pain seems to be getting worse and the epididymis is firm again. It's frustrating because the pain actually got worse AFTER I stopped taking antibiotics last Tuesday (over one week ago), and then started to go away in the last few days. That led me to think maybe it wasn't an infection after all. I don't know, maybe I'll give it a day or two to see if it's just a fluke. If it doesn't go away, I guess it's worth one more round of antibiotics. No fluoroquinolones, though, if I can help it.
Also, this is my second time with this, the first time being about four weeks last year. So, it isn't like I am a complete newbie. Still, I understand that it isn't anything compared to some folks here. WHich brings me to a question, Bill Mc. Were you forced to leave your job because of the job itself, or because you couldn't get there in the first place? In other words, did the job involve walking around (e.g., to talk with customers) or lifting? If you could have a job right now where you basically sat at a desk and typed all day, could you do it? Or is the main problem just getting out of the house? Obviously, pain can interfere with concentration, but your posts appear to be well reasoned. Just curious. |
