I went to go see a new doctor on Tuesday. I brought with about 3 inches of test results and medical records of all the specialists that I have seen over the past year and a half.
This doctor stated that while all the doctors that I have seen are good intentioned, Epididymis in men up to age 40 is VERY Rare, and should not be the first cause that a physician should be looking for. He said, in his experience, that almost always, testicular pain in men under the age of 40, is due to a muscoskeletal problem. I.E. tendon/ligament/Muscle issue. This is not to say, that you cannot have EP, or some sort of other infection, but it is rare. Most pain, as SPY will probably concur is "referred pain" But, I know for a fact, in my case, that mine pain is referred from my sacroiliac joint, which has laxity in the muscles, tendons, and ligaments...which has caused a a kinetic affect to my groin, low back and hip muscles. I frequently get leg spasms from the muscles trying to compensate to support my torso. I am going to undergo a treatment (several of them) to try to strengthen the tendons and ligaments as a last ditch effort. This may not apply to all of you, but is something to consider. As spy and arnold would say, insist that your doctors do tests, don't trust doctors, and truly do your research and look at all of your options. |
